Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are the specifications of the AR AR-28 load roller?
A: The AR AR-28 load roller features a wheel with heavy-duty polyurethane tread and a steel hub. It is equipped with dual 6204-2RS sealed bearings for smooth, quiet operation. The wheel is designed for both indoor and outdoor warehouse use.
Q: Which equipment is the AR AR-28 compatible with?
A: The AR AR-28 is designed to fit Armstrong manual pallet jacks, model 55. This load wheel assembly is a direct replacement component for standard heavy-duty load wheels.
Q: Why is polyurethane used for the tread material?
A: Polyurethane tread material provides a non-marking surface that prevents floor damage in warehouse and manufacturing environments. It is also highly durable, resistant to wear, and maintains quiet operation even under sustained heavy loads.
Q: What do the 6204-2RS bearings provide?
A: The 6204-2RS designation indicates sealed, double-shielded bearings. These protect against contamination, moisture ingress, and dust, extending wheel lifespan and reducing maintenance needs in challenging warehouse conditions.
Q: Why is a steel hub preferred for this load roller?
A: Steel hubs provide maximum strength and rigidity, offering superior load capacity and structural integrity compared to aluminum or nylon alternatives. Steel maintains performance under sustained heavy loads and resists deflection over extended use.
Q: How should the AR AR-28 load roller be stored?
A: Store the wheel assembly in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the bearings protected from moisture and contaminants. Store upright or on a flat surface to prevent deformation of the wheel tread.
Q: Can this wheel be used outdoors?
A: Yes, the AR AR-28 is engineered for both indoor and outdoor warehouse use. The polyurethane tread and sealed 6204-2RS bearings provide excellent performance in various environmental conditions, including moderate outdoor exposure.
