Forklift extensions are made of heavy gauge steel and slip over the existing forks. The construction of forklift extensions is an upside-down U-Channel consisting of a top and two sides. The front of the extension is tapered and the back of the forklift extension has a rounded steel strap to hold the extension in place. Our forklift extensions have a tough powder coat finish to protect them.

Our forklift extensions are specified in both length and width. The actual inside width of the forklift extension is actually 1/2" wider than the advertised width to accommodate the fork inside. So if you have 5" wide forks, buy a 5" wide forklift extension and they will be the correct size.

Safety Issue: OSHA regulations state that the length of the fork extension may not exceed over one-half the length of the existing forks. If the existing fork is 48" then the fork extension cannot exceed 72".
